![]() Dinner in the desert is always a hit!Įrin and Mark, we loved hosting you in our fabulous Valley of Fire desert, and we love and just adore you both. Santana and Griselda, owners of RBBQ, provided their signature smoked, tender beef brisket, moist chicken, and smoked salmon piled high among fluffy white buttery potatoes, and a luscious salad bar. See if you can find them hidden at the wedding! They popped up everywhere! We even found them behind our delicious almond and Mexican vanilla semi-naked cake, made of course by Caked LV. One of this family’s favorite little hidden jokes was the two porcelain dogs which have been showing up at family events for a while now. ![]() Is there anything this girl can’t do?! With sage green gauze napkins and crisp white plates, this table setting was clean, crisp, yet warm and inviting all at the same time. Erin chose the fabric and sewed the black and white geometric patterned runners herself. The leaves usually have spiky spines to catch your fingers, but we had these specially removed so no damage to anyone resulted! The greens and white tones of this wedding were highlighted often throughout the decor, complemented by black and white pops, and the cactus and eucalyptus complemented the white florals beautifully. One of Erin’s favorites, decor-wise, was the place setting name cards which had each guests’ name written on nopales, a type of broadleaf cactus we sourced from a local Hispanic market. She had definite ideas on what she wanted for her special day, and she also made the menu cards, seating, and other printed signs with a special touch that made it even more personalized. Erin has a great sense of style and her job as a graphic designer came in handy. One of our favorite requests was the arch Erin had asked for, a Moroccan-styled affair with flowing white gauze, gently billowing in the wind. Erin and Mark had also asked for video for their day and we love it when we get our friend Autumn (Autty) Shipp to come visit us and work her special moving film magic. Mark looked pretty great as well, and we noticed they had eyes only for each other all day. Erin’s aunt had been elected to do their ceremony and it was so tender and lovely, with vows written and spoken by our couple with the happiest and most tender of smiles and a few tears to seal the deal.Įrin’s dress was lovely, with beautiful, elegant detailing, delicately moving in the breezes as she walked. This couple rode out the storm and on the day of their wedding, it dawned bright, sunny, warm and in the high 70’s, a perfect November in the Valley of Fire. And Erin and Mark were not to be deterred. Vegas had finally begun to slowly open to visitors. We have waited for this wedding for so long and the wonderful day finally arrived! CoVid had raised its ugly head years prior, causing us to reschedule over and over from one year to the next.
